Mechanical Repairs in Queanbeyan

From a strange noise to a warning light, we find the real cause, explain it clearly and fix it properly. No guesswork and no unnecessary parts.

How we approach repairs

Modern cars are complex, and one symptom can have several possible causes. We start with a proper inspection and diagnosis so we can tell you what's actually wrong, rather than replacing parts until the problem goes away.

We repair engines, cooling systems, exhausts, timing belts and chains, oil and coolant leaks, drivetrains and more, on all makes and models. Before we start, you'll get a clear explanation of the problem and your options, so you're always in control of what's done to your car.

Frequently asked questions

Do you work on all makes and models?

Yes. We repair all makes and models, from everyday passenger cars to SUVs and 4WDs.

Will I know the cost before you start?

Yes. Once we've diagnosed the problem, we explain what's wrong and what it will take to fix, and we only go ahead once you've approved it.

When should I replace my timing belt?

Timing belts are replaced at set intervals, listed in your log book by kilometres or years. A snapped belt can cause serious engine damage, so it's worth knowing your interval. Some engines use a timing chain instead, which usually lasts much longer.

My car is overheating. Is it safe to drive?

It's best not to. Pull over safely, switch off the engine and let it cool. Driving while overheating can badly damage the engine. Give us a call and we'll advise on the next step.
